On this page, you can easily submit a notification for a diplomatic or service card and book an appointment for card collection.

If you already have a valid diplomatic or service card and wish to renew it, simply choose “New notification/application” and answer “Yes” to enter your personal code.

In case the photo upload fails, please send a digital document photo (taken according to the requirement specified above and with a minimum size of 1300 x 1600 pixels and 1 MB) to the State Protocol Department’s e-mail diplomaticID@mfa.ee

The diplomatic identity card can be collected from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Lauteri 2, Tallinn, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-12:00 and from 14:00-16:00 by prior appointment.

Terms and conditions for the use of certificates. 

If your diplomatic identity card is lost or stolen, the certificates of your document must be revoked to prevent the potential digital misuse. The certificates of diplomatic identity card issued as of 15.11.2025 can be revoke at the PBGB's revocation-portal.

Revoked certificates cannot be used for accessing e-services or for digital signing. If you need to use document electronically, you will need to apply for a new diplomatic identity card.
